In Early 2021, several nonprofits in San Diego are tasked with finding Youth Care Workers to work at the San Diego Convention Center to take care of young refugee girls from Latin America. The refugee girls are kept and processed in the convention center as they wait to be reunited with family members they have in the United States. In the play two migrant girls, Fatima and Lourdes talk about where they’re from and where they’re going. In a liminal space that should feels like the ocean.
